Step back in time and discover Warwick's fascinating past during this exciting week-long summer camp designed for young historians! Campers will explore some of the Warwick Historical Society's most treasured historic sites while learning what life was like before, during, and after the American Revolution.
Each day focuses on a different historic property and includes hands-on activities, take home crafts, games, snacks, and opportunities to learn directly from local historians and special guests. With input and involvement from our Education Committee.
Throughout the week, campers will visit:
• The Shingle House – Colonial Kids: Life Before America
• Baird's Tavern – Spies, Soldiers & Taverns
• The Lehigh & Hudson River Railroad Caboose – How America Moved
• The Old School Baptist Meeting House – Freedom & Community
• The Sly Barn – Farm Life During the Revolution
Campers begin and end each day at the A.W. Buckbee Events Center and travel as a group to the featured historic site.
At the conclusion of camp, each participant will be recognized as a Junior Warwick Historian and receive a Certificate of Achievement!
